Modeling and analysis of the current-mode controlled Cuk converter with coupled inductors

A small-signal Y-parameter model of the coupled-inductor Cuk converter operating with current-model control is introduced. The output part of the model is transformed into the ladder-filter form, which facilitates design-oriented analysis of network functions. For illustration, a control-to-output and input-to-output transmittances for particular inductor coupling, which substantially reduces the output current ripple, are discussed. Very good agreement between theoretical predictions and experimental results is observed.<<ETX>>
