An integrated inp coherent receiver for 40 and 100 Gb/Sec telecommunications systems

An InP based 4times4 multi-mode interferometer 90deg hybrid is described. The fabricated device showed a common mode rejection ratio in excess of 20 dB, and less than 1.5 dB variation in responsivity over the C-band.
