마찰열 배분과 열전도를 이용한 브레이크 부품 온도 변화 예측

The braking performance is significantly affected by high temperature of the brake components. In particular, the repetitive or continuous braking causes excessive temperature rise of the brake components. This may result in fade, thermal judder, thermal crack, vapor lock and etc. The reason for the temperature rise is that the friction heat between a disc and pad is transferred to the brake components. In this research, a numerical method to analyze the heat transfer of the brake system using friction heat division and 1-D conduction is presented. An alpine test is observing the brake component temperature rise through the repetitive and continuous braking during a high mountain decent. And using this method, prediction of an alpine test result was achieved.
