Mathematical model of drying in a brown coal mill system. 2. Testing of model

Abstract In the first part of this paper a mathematical model of the drying process occurring in a mill drying system was developed. In this part the assumptions made in the development of the model and the effects of changes to input variables are examined in terms of their effect on computed exit conditions. A comprehensive series of tests on a power-station-mill drying system, designed to obtain reliable input and exit data, is described. The accuracy of the model was tested with these data and found to give good agreement with respect to product moisture content and gas exit temperature.
