Interactive Load and Resistance Factor Design of steel frames

An interactive menu‐driven MICROCAD system, called FRAMELRFD, has been developed for the design of moment‐resisting multistory steel frames according to the recently developed LRFD specification. An efficient search routine for selecting the minimum weight sections for girders and columns has been developed. Preprocessing of the data includes displaying the frame configuration with joint and member numbering, zooming, and panning
