Research of an Evaluation System for Urban Traffic Safety

With the development of urban traffic,traffic safety is getting more and more attention.It is very important to establish an evaluation system for traffic safety.According to current situation of traffic safety,many factors are taken into account,such as road,vehicle,driver,environment,traffic management and so on,which effect one another and together have a function on traffic safety.After comparative analysis of evaluation methods for urban traffic safety,both home and abroad,a suitable evaluation model is constructed through combination of known data and models.The model is based on fuzzy mathematics and analytic hierarchy process.In the model,the membership function of evaluation indexes is obtained through fuzzy evaluation mode computing.And weight coefficients among factors are got through analytic hierarchy process.Consequently,an integrated evaluation value for urban traffic safety is acquired.
