Parâmetros ruminais e consumo voluntário de feno de brachiaria decumbens stapf por bovinos recebendo suplementação protéico-enérgetica

The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect different levels of energyprotein supplementation (0%, 0.25%, 0.50%, 1.0% e 1.5% LW) of cattle over feeding hay of Brachiaria decumbens, ruminal parameters (pH and N-NH3), dry matter (DM) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) degradation of bulk. Were used five cross-breeds averaging 355 ± 52 kg live weight, provided with permanent ruminal cannula, feeding Brachiaria decumbens hay ad libitum submitted to five treatments of four levels of energy-protein suplementation (0,25; 0,50; 1,00; e 1,50 kg MS/100 kg LW/day) and one witness who only received hay and mineral mixture ad libitum. For the determination of the disappearance of the DM and the NDF of the hay the technique of the nylon bag was used. The bags were incubated for 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 and 120 hours. The samples of ruminal liquid were collected at 8 (preceding the suplementação), 10 , 12, 14 and 20 hours. The ruminal pH varied from 5,5 the 7,2, with averages of 6,76; 6,63; 6,68; 6,40; 6,26 between the controlled and the treatments that had received energy-protein suplementation (0,25; 0,50; 1,00; e 1,50 kg MS/100 kg LW/day). The pH diminished with the rise of the amount of supplement, having difference (P<0,05) only between the controlled and the treatment received 1,5 kg MS/100 kg PV/dia from supplement. The ruminal N-NH3 varied from 3,48mg to 54.01 mg of N-NH3/dL of ruminal liquid, with average value of 17,68 mg/dL. Through the linear regression analyses, were possible to observe that when increased the level of supplement in the diet it also increased the ammonia concentration in rumen throughout the collection times. It did not have influence of the supplement on the ingestion of DM, CP and of NDF of the hay. The potential degradation of the DM and the NDF, 67.53% and 71.34%, respectively, was reached with 96 hours of incubation. It was not observed therefore, the positive associative effect of different levels of energyprotein suplementation and the voluntary consumption of Brachiaria decumbens hay of cattle.
