ORIGINAL STUDY CLINICAL AND PARACLINICAL CORRELATIONS BETWEEN HEPATIC DISORDERS AND UTERINE HEMORRHAGE

The prospective study was conducted over a period of 4 years (2006-2009) in the Contagious Disease Clinic, the Medical Clinic II, and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic I of the County Emergency Clinical Hospital of Constanta. The study group consisted of 132 (7.6%) cases of female patients, selected out of the total of 1730 female patients admitted with acute viral hepatitis, chronic hepatitis, and hepatic cirrhosis. Analyzing the correlations between clinical parameters and hemorrhage intensity, the following was concluded: In patients included in the study group, pulse and blood pressure levels, as well as posture variations, indicated most accurately the gravity of blood loss, thereby quantifying uterine hemorrhage into moderate or abundant. Changes in systolic blood pressure levels and posture variation were directly proportional with hemorrhage intensity; the lowest medium levels of 72.4-74.3mmHg were recorded in abundant hemorrhage patients. There was no significant correlation between blood pressure levels and hepatic disease.
