A novel damper is presented in fluid transmission system.The MR damper consists of MRF pneumatic damper cylinder and damping valve,and the length of the MR damper is independent on the stroke of the pneumatic system.Furthermore the damping valve employs two coils.Compared to the universal damper,the MRF damper with characteristic of compact structure and small volume can effectively reduce the cross section and the magnetic-flux leakage.Then the ANSYS method is used in the experiment and analysis of MRF damper according to its function and structure.Result shows,the stability,allocation precision,the reliability and the quick response can be improved in the application of MR damper to the pneumatic servo system in real-time control.
