Microcomputer unit for control of distributed devices over computer networks

Abstract The paper presents a Control Node Unit (CNU) which is a small microcomputer designed to control automated electromechanical devices. CNU can control both the stand-alone devices and devices in a distributed connection-oriented environment. The existing infrastructure can be used for communication among CNUs.
