Mycobacterium microti isolated from two pigs

SIR, — We would like to report the isolation of Mycobacterium microti (the vole tuberculosis [tb] bacillus) from two male, eight-month-old sandy and black cross pigs in Pembrokeshire, west Wales. Calcified granuloma lesions were observed in submandibular lymph nodes at the slaughterhouse.
