A High step-down DC-DC Converter

High conversion ratio is a remarkable feature for future several applications, a non-isolated high step-down DC-DC power electronic converter is proposed to meet these demands. The presented topology has a novel transformer-less structure with high gain based on an active switched-capacitor cell and an active switched-inductor cell. The main merits are high conversion ratio and low voltage stress across the active switches, its number of devices is medium when compared with other similar structure that provide the high conversion ratio, the theoretically analysis and operating principle are presented in detail, in order to verify the novel topology performance, a 60W, 100V to 12V prototype has been achieved in our lab, and switching frequency is 100kHz, emulation and experimental result reach a good agreement with the theoretically analysis, validating correctness and effectiveness of the proposed converter, which peak efficiency is about 88.7%.
