Investigation of Dynamic Voltage Restorers with Match Inductor Applied in Four-Wire Systems

This paper investigates topologies of dynamic voltage restores (DVRs) based on the open-end winding (OEW) concept applied in the three-phase four-wired systems. Additionally, an investigation with more details of the zero-sequence compensation limits is introduced. Such a study is considered when the topologies operate with (or not) additional legs and a match inductor in the fourth-branch. The addition of a match inductor contributes to optimize the synthesized output voltage by the converter, as well as to reduce the harmonic distortion content. As a consequence, the output passive filters can be neglected or have a reduced size. Simulation and experimental results are presented for validation purposes.
