Numerical Simulation of Support with High-Strength Yielding Bolt

The high-strength yielding bolt support is the case in which a yielding link is placed between the high-strength bolt's trays and its nuts.Because of the deformation of yielding link,the pressure relief of surrounding rocks can be realized and the serious deformation of the roadway can be effectively controlled.Using the numerical simulation software FLAC3D,we simulated the deformation and failure rules of surrounding rocks before and after supporting with high strength yielding bolts,analyzed the stress and displacement of surrounding rocks and the variation of axial force of bolts.The result indicates that the high strength yielding bolts can obviously improve the support effect and effectively controll the damage and deformation of some complicated roadways.
