RETROSPECTIVE SEROLOGIC DIAGNOSIS OF HEMOLYTIC TRANSFUSION REACTIONS.

The measurement of antibody titers at different intervals following blood transfusion reactions provides a useful method of investigating blood incompatibility in patients when the pretransfusion blood samples of the donor and recipient are not available. The anamnestic response of an iso-antibody following transfusion is presumptive evidence of a blood transfusion reaction due to blood group incompatibility.
