Interaction of Web Spans: Part II—Dynamics

Based on the static analysis, the dynamic interaction of web spans can be analyzed. The system equation for each span is a second order linear ordinary differential equation with the excitation term interaction and/or steering dependent. The numerical scheme is suitable for solving the system equation with arbitrary disturbance and steering functions. For a sinusoidal input for frequency response analysis, the Fourier series expansion for the excitation and interaction terms may be used. Experimental verification is presented for both the static and dynamic analyses
