Experiment and simulation of fine water spraying to control fire disaster in mine gateway

According to the major outer factor fire accidents occurred in China coal mines and the insufficient fire extinguishing equipment status in China,a mine fire extinguishing experiment and a simulation study with fire disaster dynamics software were conducted for a diesel fire disaster in a mine simulated roadway with fine water spraying fire extinguishing system.The fire extinguishing time and the monitoring carbon monoxide gas during the fire extinguishing found that the fine water spraying could have a rapid and safety ability to extinguish the fire in the mine roadway.The comparison between the results of the fire disaster dynamic software FDS simulation and the experiment results showed that FDS could be well to predict dynamic processing of the fine water spraying fire extinguishing,highest temperature,initial temperature dropping time and fire extinguishing time.
