Research on Fault Estimation and Fault-tolerant Control of Hypersonic Aircraft Based on Adaptive Observer

This paper studies a fault estimation and fault-tolerant control scheme for a class of hypersonic aircraft with actuator faults and disturbances. In order to obtain the unknown fault imformation, a robust adaptive observer is established with the adaptive law for fault estimation, and the design conditions are derived through the Lyapunov stability analysis to ensure the estimation errors uniformly bounded and satisfy certain $H_{\infty}$ performance. For the purpose of fault accommodation in the hypersonic vehicle, an active fault-tolerant controller is constructed to make the faulty system uniformly bounded and satisfy some $H_{\infty}$ performance. Finally, the feasibility of the fault estimation and fault-tolerant control method which is developed in this research is verified on the semi-physical simulation platform of a hypersonic aircraft.
