Parallel Computation of the Electromagnetic Field of Hand-Held Mobile Telephones Radiating Close to the Human Head

The computation of the electromagnetic near- and far-fields radiated by a portable mobile telephone operating close to the user’s head has been performed by a parallel implementation of the method of moments, a boundary integral equation method. Results for an execution of the program on a cluster of connected workstations as well as on massively parallel supercomputers demonstrate the excellent speedup which has been achieved.
