This article reviews the most important groups of methods used in the market risk assessment, which is a signifi cant part of the Value Based Management. The evidence for this is that special sections responsible for risk management are formed within the structures of industrial enterprises such as ArcelorMittal Poland. Risk assessment can be the subject of the Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy activities.
