Electrostatic field mill has been large employed by scientist for charge estimation, concentration, storm characterization etc. in not very much cases field mills are employed as a part of a protection system or as a lightning hazard warning system. One reason is the particular behaviour of the electrostatic field at any point of measurement, local storm behaviour, charge perturbations etc., so signal processing is necessary to have a reliable risk of lightning discharge at any point. This job presents a signal processing technique where the storm is treated as a system.
