The asymmetric unit of the title structure, C10H8O2·C3H4N2, contains two independent naphthalene-2,7-diol mol­ecules and two independent imidazole mol­ecules. In the crystal structure, mol­ecules are linked by inter­molecular O—H⋯N, N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming one-dimensional chains propagating along [100].
