The control algorithms for the electronic timer, which regulate the fuel injection timing of the Diesel engine fuel injection system, were developed by using the simplified effective dynamic models.
The electronic timer assembly was modeled as the first order with time delay. The various parameters in the model were obtained from experimental data. This model was effectively used for the development of control algorithms of the fuel injection timing system.
The displacement control algorithm and the rpm-disturbance control algorithm were used for the fuel injection timing control. These control algorithms result in the effective and practical control of the fuel injection timing.
