Oblivious Cooperation in Colocated Wireless Networks

Cooperative strategies for a wireless network where a source is oblivious to the existence of another close by terminal, who can potentially serve as a relay for the source's transmission, are considered. Robust protocols which improve upon the performance when the relay is present, but do not degrade performance in the relay's absence with respect to the case where this absence is known to the source a-priori are identified. Finally, analysis is carried out to gain insight on how the performance of these cooperative protocols depends on the system parameters
