Avoidance of MV switchgear failure case studies of on-line condition monitoring

This paper considers, through a series of practical case studies, the avoidance of major incidents through t he targeted use of on-line condition monitoring of MV indoor switchboards. A technique to pin point the locatio n of partial discharge (pd) using time of flight measure ment techniques is discussed.
