Modelling adaptive phytoplankton in a variable environment

Abstract Adaptive responses of the photosynthetic mechanism and cell chlorophyll a content to light dose, and sedimentation, are briefly considered as possible, factorally-mediated determiners in quality modelling of algal growth. A simple scheme for describing the model algal thermal and turbulent environment is given as a mimic of more formally derived models.
