Abstract ‘Kana-ami’ is a kind of metal wire network in Japan. This study aimed to focus on ‘Kana-ami’ technique development in order to keep this culture wealth and skill to the next generation. In this study, the two participants were selected for comparison called as expert and non-expert. The products made by participants were measured by industry computed tomography system precisely. The deformation of two metal wires’ diameter was calculated, and the expert's rotation angle was shown smaller damage on the surface of metal wires.
