Numerical Investigation of the Micro Pressure Wave

The entrance of a train in a tunnel causes a compression wave propagating along the tunnel to the opposite portal. Due to the reflection process at the portal, a part of the wave radiates in the environment. This so-called micro pressure wave can cause structural responses of structures close to the tunnel exit or can annoy people.
