A New Active Queue Management Algorithm: ALTDROP

the various Active Queue Management (AQM) schemes have been compared to analyze the throughput and end-to-end delay. Various AQM techniques: Drop-tail, Random Early Detection (RED), Random Exponential Marking (REM), and Proportional Integrator (PI) are compared with our proposed algorithm Altered Drop (ALTDROP) in terms of throughput and end-to-end delay. We find least end-to-end delay for our proposed scheme ALTDROP in contrast to existing AQM schemes Drop-tails, RED, REM, and PI even ALTDROP is able to maintain the highest throughput at the end of the simulation time.
