Multicore optical fiber and connectors for short reach, high density links

Adoption of multicore fibers will accelerate in high bandwidth density applications in next generation data centers once multicore connectors, transceiver coupling elements, cabling and other components are available to complement transceivers in end-to-end optical interconnects.
