昆布科植物の遊走子の放出、運動並びに着生 海藻胞子附けの研究第一報

1. Shedding, swimming and fixing of the zoospores of Undaria, Ecklonia and Eisenia were studied. 2. Shedding: Shedding occurs more than three days after the last shedding in one and the same frond. Zoospore shed from the frond, immersed in the sea water after dried one hour, are calculated 105 to 105 (in Ecklonia and Eisenia), 106 to 107 (in Undaria) per 1 gr. frond. 3. Swimming: Zoospores swim wanderingly, so that in ten to twenty mintes. they can wander only the distance, less than 2mm. Thigmotaxis and rheotaxis are clearly observed. 4. Flxing: In only one minute zoospores complete fixing. Fixing occuress vividly in several minutes atter shedding. In running sea water, the optimum velocity for fixing on glass-plate is 2-10cm/sec. Zoospores select the substrate in running sea water, but not in still sea water.
