Optimal Design of Plastic Snap-fits Based on Pro/MECHANICA

The Finite Element Analysis(FEA) is an essential tool for Mechanical Engineer,and is widely applied to the design and development of engineering products.This paper introduces basic optimal function of Pro/MECHANICA Structure,and discusses its significant feature which is different from other FEA software,that is,using parameter tool of Pro/ENGINEER to carry out sensitivity analysis and optimal design.It carries out the optimal design of plastic snap-fits and actualizes jointless integration between modeling and FEA,what's more,advances the efficiency and the reliability of the new products development.Meanwhile,it has provided the reference for the product standardized design.
