Incomparing medium-size projects(100,000 lines of code), the onewith the worst process will re-quire 1.43 times as much effortas the one with the best process,all other things being equal. Inother words, the maximum influence ofprocess maturity on a project’s productivityis 1.43.What Clark doesn’t emphasize is thatfor a program of 100,000 lines of code,several human-oriented factors influenceproductivity more than process does.
