Simulation Testing of LFM Compression Performances Based on Identification

The pulse compression technology is important in radar signal processing, and it already have been used widely. It is necessary to test the performances indexes of the pulse compression system because those indexes indicate the effect of compression. Based on the frequency response identification of the LFM pulse compression system, this paper proposes to test its technical characteristics by simulation. By using this method, not only the fundamental indexes of pulse compression ratio and range side-lobes weighting reduction ability are tested, but also the anti-jamming ability is evaluated conveniently. Besides, In order to validate whether the system up to the design indexes requirement, the comparison with the performance parameter of ideal design model also have been done in this paper.
