3-D Modeling Technique for Hydro Turbine's Runner Based on ACIS

The traditional design of runner includes hydraulic and geometrical design. It cannot satisfy with digital design and manufacturing that the traditional 2D pattern drawings used for defining turbine blade in geometrical design. In this paper, a way of 3D modeling and its implementation using VC++ and ACIS programming in design of runner is introduced. By this way, it has been realized that the integration of hydraulic and geometrical design of hydro turbine runner.
