Dynamic Scene Analysis and Motion Estimation

We give a brief overview of dynamic scene analysis and then concentrate on one of its major difficulties: motion/structure estimation from image sequences. It is seen that though typical dynamic scenes contain multiple moving objects which may not be rigid, even the simplest problem of motion estimation, that of two-view motion analysis of a single rigid object has not been satisfactorily resolved. Much remains to be done.
