Using eigenvalue grads method to estimate the number of signal source

In array signal processing for estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) of the space source, it is a key problem to correctly estimate the number of signal sources. In this paper, after analysing the eigenvalues of the auto-correlation matrix, a set of very simple arithmetic named eigenvalue grads methods is introduced, and the simulation results are given and compared with the AIC and MDL methods.
