We propose a transcoding from 64B/66B to (512*N)B/(513*N+1)B for bandwidth-efficient transmission of lOGb/s, 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s Ethernet (10/40/100 GbE). We clarify the bit-error tolerance with more than a 10 billion years of mean time to false packet acceptance (MTTFPA) for transcoded 40 GbE transport over OTN. We also propose that the 512B/514B code with Forward Error Correction is applicable to the 10/40/100 GbE transmission.
