Objective To explore the potential risk factors associated with sleep quality of Chinese residents. Methods Risk factors associated with sleep quality were analyzed by univariate and multivariable logistic regression using data from China Chronic Disease Risk Factor Surveillance 2007.Results Among 50 349 participants aged 15~69 years,32 352(64.3%) people reported having good sleep quality.Female(OR=1.576,95%CI: 1.508~1.646),elder age(OR=1.252,95%CI: 1.232~1.272),alcohol consumption(OR=1.055,95%CI: 1.005~1.107) and having habitual napping(OR=1.308,95%CI: 1.266~1.352) were positively associated with poor sleep quality.Exercise(OR= 0.899,95%CI: 0.849~0.952),long sleep duration(OR=0.663,95%CI: 0.652~0.673) and high educational level(OR=0.941,95%CI: 0.924~0.957) were inversely associated with poor sleep quality. Conclusion Female, age, alcohol consumption and napping habit were risk factors for poor sleep quality.Exercise, long sleep duration and high educational level were protective factors for sleep quality.
