Analysis on Energy-saving Potential of Coal Mill in Thermal Power Plant

The grinding coal unit consumption of the mill for 4×600 MW unit in Daihai power plant commonly reached 11～12 (kW·h)/t, which deviates more from the designed value of 6～10 (kW·h) / t. After analyzing the structural features of the mill and the factors that are likely to influence the grinding coal unit consumption, the main reason of high unit consumption was considered to be the wear and tear of grinder rolls and millstones and unreasonable operation. Accordingly, a set of practical measures was proposed to reduce the unit consumption.
