Behandlung von Niederschlagswasser im Mischsystem: Stand und Perspektiven am Beispiel des Ruhreinzugsgebietes

Meanwhile facilities for stormwater managemant are regular part of combined sewer systems. Due to its various tasks - throttling of discharge, storage and treatment of combined sewer runoff, discharge of combined sewer overflow - these facilities are of special importance within the process of storm water runoff.That means an intensive activity regarding the phase of planning and construction of such buildings which aims in the minimizing of the investment costs as well as in the ensuring of the latter operation free of failure and reasonable in costs. Regarding the catchment of the river Ruhr the following paper dicusses the present development and tendency in stormwater management due to the topics planning, construction and operation. These explanations are completed by the anaylsis of all detention facilities existing at the Ruhr River Association which takes into account both stock of facilities and kind of costs.Thus a view of the existing condition and the future development of this part of sewage disposal is given.
