Application of modified chaos optimal algorithm in optimal regulation of a hydropower station reservoir

In order to improve the precision of global optimal solution in the calculation of multi-dimensional objective function,a modified chaos optimal algorithm(MCOA),using the randomness,ergodicity and regularity of chaos movement for global optimization,was established.By introducing solution vector optimization,this algorithm tries to locate the solution vector close to the optimal solution and find the global optimal solution.The application of MCOA in the optimal regulation and simulation hydropower station reservoir indicates that MCOA not only is an effective algorithm but also can enhance the precision of solutions.Its principle is simple and easy for programming implementation.The algorithm has high practical value and provides an efficient method for optimal regulation of hydropower station reservoirs.
