Demonstration of all-optical packet demultiplexing using a multiwavelength mutual injection-locked laser diode

All-optical packet demultiplexing is demonstrated using a multiwavelength mutual injection-locked Fabry-Perot laser diode. Error-free packet-demultiplexing of a 10 Gb/s signal with an extinction ratio of 16.9 dB is observed.
