Thromboangiitis Obliterans in a Woman Report of a Case

Buerger’s disease in women is extremely rare. Reports on such cases are scant. In 1960 Kaiser, Musser and Shumackerl reviewed the literature on this subject. They found 60 such reported cases out of which in only ten cases histological evidence was produced. They added two cases of their own. Fisher, Zukerman and Sweeny2 reviewed seven cases, adding one of their own. Potecte3, Selvaag4, Messent5 and Gaylis6 also report their own experience with the disease in women.
