LOGISTICS MEASUREMENT AND PERFORMANCE FOR UNITED STATES-MEXICAN OPERATIONS UNDER NAFTA

The objective of this article is to explore the state of logistics performance in the coordination and support of Mexican production strategies under the framework of a North American competitive strategy. The first section briefly presents the research methodology. The article then turns to a discussion of the basic operating environment currently found in Mexico. This discussion is followed by an evaluation of the value-added performance of logistics activities. The article concludes by considering important managerial and theoretical implications.
