Modellierung und Simulation von Multiagenten-Systemen

Multi-agent systems consist of a multitude of actors that interact with each other and with their environment. They represent an important class of discrete systems, for which processes are modeled and simulated on the basis of sudden changes of the system state. A research group led by Gerd Wagner is working on the development of an agent-based simulation platform at the Chair of Internet Technology. This simulation platform, which is based on the paradigm of discrete event simulation, is distinguished by a declarative rule-based modeling language. Agent-based simulation is well suited for the simulation of social, technical and socio-technical systems like decentralized energy systems, real estate markets, traffic systems, logistic systems and various kinds of ecosystems. The research group, which is offering its simulation system from its project website (http://aor-simulation.org) is interested in collaborating with researchers in the areas of traffic, logistics and ecology. As a general technology, which is cross-cutting these and other scientific areas, computer simulation can help to link different research activities with each other.
