Some Graphics Packages

This chapter discusses some of the more frequently used commands contained in various graphics packages available with Mathematica. A problem of interest in complex analysis is finding the image of a complex-valued function f(z). The package ComplexMap provides several commands that are useful in solving problems of this type. The command ContourPlot3D is used to graph level curves of functions of three variables and equations in three variables. Loading the graphics package enables the user to take advantage of several commands, which improves the graphing capabilities available. The packages MultipleListPlot and Graphics3D contain several commands for graphing lists and for manipulating graphics objects. Pictures of polyhedra can be produced with the Polyhedra commands. Some pictures are obtained by specifying a desired polyhedra with Show[Polyhedron[shape]].
