Framework for Accident Costing

A report on a closed Workshop on Accident Valuation was published in this journal in 1982. Amongst the conclusions of the Workshop was the 'need to refine the crash values used. . . in respect of specific subsets of crash type'. This technical note addresses some of the aspects of applying unit costs for various casualty classes to specific accident severity levels and to specific crash types. Subjects covered include a discussion of accident data for the State of Victoria, numbers of accidents, numbers of persons involved, costs of accident types, and others. Language: en
