Data acquisition and processing in a small debris flow prone catchment

The Moscardo Torrent is a small creek, with an area of about 4 km 2 , located in the Eastern Italian Alps (Fig. 1). The bedrock of the Moscardo basin is made of Carboniferous flysch, consisting of shale, slates, siltstone, sandstone and breccia that continuously outcrop in the upper portion of the basin and locally along the torrent.
