Two Steps Method Using Polarization to Resist Phase Noise for Self-interference Cancelation in Full-Duplex

Phase noise caused by the local oscillator affects both the cancelation of self-interference and the reception of the desired signal. In this paper, a novel two steps method exploiting polarization is proposed to resist the effect of phase noise on the self-interference cancelation in full-duplex. This method can convert the multiplicative noise to additive noise with polarization signal processing in two steps, which can cancel the effect of phase noise on both the self-interference and desired signal. It should be noted that this method needs no prior information of the phase noise. Theory analysis and numerical simulations show that the effect of phase noise is reduced and the amount of cancelation is also evaluated in condition of different phase noise values.
